Abstract

The objective of this article was to describe the formation of school principals and identify how these managers interpreted their difficulties and projected future expectations with the learning acquired in this new context. It is a description and analysis of the actions carried out by a management team led by a principal of an elementary school in view of the training that is experienced offered by a Municipal Department of Education. This training was based on the methodological principle of training processes that favor dialogue, especially by incorporating issues experienced by the principals from their own reflection on the moment of the pandemic, which exposed them to several challenges. The actions undertaken by the welcoming management team revealed a model of democratic-participatory management, in which, even in the face of countless challenges, it provided experiences with professionals working in the school towards overcoming them.
