Jeremias e o cinto de linho: a ação simbólica como Imitatio Dei
Abstract
Este artigo provê um breve estudo exegético de Jeremias 13:1-11, que descreve uma ação simbólica do profeta. Tais ações constituíam de narrativas que pretendiam ilustrar as intenções ou ações de YHWH para com o povo. Nessa passagem, Deus ordena ao profeta que coloque na fenda de uma rocha um cinto de linho, o que comunicava, por meio de uma imitatio Dei, o propósito didático e de identificação de YHWH.

This article provides a brief exegetical study of Jeremiah 13: 1-11, which describes a symbolic action of the prophet. Such actions were made up of narratives that intended to illustrate the intentions or actions of YHWH to the people. In this passage, God commands the prophet to put in a cleft of a rock a linen belt, which communicated, through an imitatio Dei, YHWH’s didactic purpose and identification.
