ELENA G. DE WHITE Y EL SENTIDO COMÚN EN LA ALIMENTACIÓN
Abstract
La Reforma Pro-salud forma parte del mensaje del Tercer Ángel. Este es un mensaje que es endémico de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día (IASD) para predicarlo y vivirlo de adentro hacia fuera y, aunque no se constituye en una prueba de discipulado, es clave en la disminución del sufrimiento y preparación de la iglesia para cumplir su misión. Sin embargo, a pesar de la abundante y convincente luz recibida se combinan aún el desconocimiento, la ignorancia y el descuido en su ejecución. Ocasión aprovechada por otros grupos e individuos, a veces dentro de la iglesia, a veces fuera de ella, para manipular la información y aplicación de esta “gran cuña de entrada del evangelio”. Es aquí donde es necesario el sentido común para leer e implementar correctamente estos grandes principios. El sentido común aplica el principio inspirado a la realidad humana, teniendo en cuenta el momento, lugar, tiempo o circunstancia. Es el nexo para que se tenga lugar de manera apropiada, sin crear prejuicio, la instrucción de Dios. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar por medio algunas citas escogidas el pensamiento progresivo de Elena G. de White en la Reforma Pro-salud, lleno de sentido común, substancialmente cuando se refirió a la elección y consumo de los alimentos y en especial al tema de comer carne.

Resumo: A Reforma de Saúde é parte da mensagem do terceiro anjo. Essa é uma mensagem endêmica à Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia, que deve pregá-la e vivê-la de dentro para fora, e, ainda que não se constitua teste de discipulado, é vital na diminuição do sofrimento e preparo da igreja para cumprir sua missão. No entanto, apesar da abundante e convincente luz recebida, ainda há desconhecimento, ignorância e descuido em sua execução. Esse fato tem sido aproveitado por grupos e indivíduos, às vezes dentro da igreja, outras vezes fora, para manipular a informação e aplicação dessa “grande cunha de entrada do evangelho”. Aqui é necessário o bom senso para ler e implementar corretamente esses grandes princípios. O bom senso aplica o princípio inspirado à realidade humana, levando em consideração o momento, lugar, tempo e circunstâncias. Essa é a condição para que as orientações de Deus ocorram de maneira apropriada, sem criar prejuízos. O objetivo deste estudo é mostrar, por meio de algumas citações selecionadas, o pensamento progressivo de Ellen G. White sobre a Reforma de Saúde, cheio de bom senso quando se referiu à escolha e consumo dos alimentos, especialmente o tema da carne.
