A CRISE IDENTITÁRIA E A CARISMATIZAÇÃO DO ADVENTISMO

Abstract: Since the beginning, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has had an identity associated to the biblical authority and its fundamental beliefs, such as the great controversy, the heavenly sanctuary and the mission as a remnant church. However, over the years Adventists have been diverging from their identity, by giving more importance to the charismatic worship, usually emotion-oriented instead of Scripture-oriented. This article analyzes the Adventist identity in your current situation and the charismatization process, which has affected it. Finally, it is understood that, despite of having a well-defined identity, Adventism has been influenced by evangelical doctrines and practices, and thus has suffered a process of secularization and charismatization.
