Abstract

The present article investigates the impact of the liberation theologians on the Church, in special on ruptures of great magnitude in Christian theological reflection. In order to understand the action of such a group, that took place mainly in Latin America, there is a need to analyze the influences that were at work at the starting point of this theological movement. Ion special, the study focuses on the Black and the Feminist activist movements in the United States and in Europe, respectively. The research focuses also the emphasis on the poor and the conflictive system of tension between the oppressed and oppressors, and how these factors influence the Church.
