This research deals with the following a problem regarding the administrative leader of the departments of publications of the Brazilian Central Union, one of the organs of the Church Adventist of the Seventh Day: How is it possible for an administrative leader in the field of publications, to be an entrepreneur, and at same time to respect the existent hierarchy in the system of the organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church? With this perspective, the major goal of this research is to "Analyze the method that the leader of the department of publications of the Seventh-day Adventist Church uses in his/her entrepreneurship and how it relates with the respect for the hierarchical system of the organization". This research analyzes the issue of leadership from the origins of the administration, and develops a field research through interviews. The research leaves very clear that in the department of publications, regulations do exist, laws that are called PRAXIS, and that are followed by all of them. Every leader who was interviewed respected the PRAXIS, showing that they were united with a single focus. But, above all, it came to the conclusion that though many leaders did not possess much technical knowledge in the field of administration, they, nevertheless demonstrate a strong spirit of entrepreneurship in their actions, being able, thereby, to lead his/her department to success.
