The Working of the Holy Spirit Through the Spiritual Gifts
Keywords:
Holy Spirit, Gifts, Spiritual Gift, Present.Abstract
The present study focuses the operation of the Holy Spirit through the spiritual gifts in the present days. It approaches the three different views concerning this issue: First, the view of the group of Christians that sustain that the manifestation of the gift of tongues, of healing, or of prophecy is an essential element in order to assure the believer of the presence or the working of the Holy Spirit in his life; Second, the position of those Christians who deny the existence of supernatural events in the present days; and finally, the views of those Christians who do not give much emphasis in the xiste3nce or in the inexistence of such events. The different views above were contrasted with the biblical reports of the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Biblical list of spiritual gifts and their purpose.
