YHWH: the identity of the God of Israel
Keywords:
Yhwh, Identity, Jehovah, Lord, TetragrammatonAbstract
The biblical name of God that appears more often in the Sacred Text is
LORD, or, as some versions show, Jehovah. Much has been discussed
about the pronunciation of the original Hebrew YHWH. It would be really
Jehovah? Since the names in the Bible are full of meaning, what the name of
four letters, also called Tetragrammaton, mean? It would reveal the identity of
the God of the Israelites? This article aims to answer these questions.
