Análise missiológica de Atos 1:4-8

O livro de Atos dos Apóstolos relata o cumprimento da promessa de Jesus de dar
poder aos apóstolos para serem Suas testemunhas na Terra. O texto de Atos 1:4-8 é analisado neste trabalho numa perspectiva missiológica com o objetivo de reconhecer algumas aplicações significativas do cumprimento da promessa de crescimento e expansão da sua igreja como missão confiada aos seus seguidores. Verifica-se que a expansão da igreja cristã foi possível em virtude da ação do Espírito Santo sobre os discípulos e fiéis que se colocaram como testemunhas de Cristo, mesmo diante da perseguição e martírio. Os discípulos de hoje são chamados a experimentarem o poder do Espírito para dar continuidade ao crescimento da fé cristã pela proclamação do Reino de Deus e o breve retorno de Cristo a todos os povos, de modo que a mensagem de salvação chegue até aos confins da Terra.
