Urban mission: Paul’s missionary atitudes in Athens
Keywords:
Paul, Athens, Attitudes, Mission.Abstract
Considering Paul’s missionary strategies, this article aims to introduce eight of Paul’s missionary attitudes that characterized his speech in Athens in Acts 17. The issues presented by Paul include observation, the zeal for God’s will, respect the belief of others, concern for the salvation of the people, the contextualization of the Gospel, the knowledge of God’s Word. The results of Paul’s preaching, as well as Christians today, should be left to the Holy Spirit, however, the church must not fail to carry out their missionary task, using all the means necessary for the expansion of the gospel, regardless the results that may be preaching.
